2. Hosting via GitHub Pages
This website is delivered through GitHub Pages. The provider for users in the European Economic Area is GitHub B.V. in the Netherlands; GitHub, Inc. in the United States is also involved in providing the service.
When you access this website, GitHub processes technically necessary access data. This may include your IP address, date and time of access, the file requested, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type, operating system, and access status. This processing is necessary to deliver the website and maintain its security and stability.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure, reliable, and efficient provision of this website. GitHub determines how long server-side log data is retained; I have no direct control over that retention.
Data may also be transferred to the United States. According to GitHub, such transfers rely—depending on the recipient and processing—on recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Details are available in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
3. Contact and contact form
If you contact me by email or through the contact form, I process the information you provide—particularly your name, email address, and message—to respond to your enquiry. Technical connection data may also be generated during transmission.
For contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is handling and responding to your message. I delete this information when it is no longer required for that purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
The form is transmitted using EmailJS Pte. Ltd., Singapore. EmailJS receives the form data in order to forward the message to my email inbox. Processing may take place in Singapore, the United States, or other third countries. According to EmailJS, required international transfers are protected using safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses. EmailJS determines the retention period for service-related log and transmission data.
Further information is available in the EmailJS Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. You can alternatively contact me directly by email.
4. Language settings and local storage
The website reads your browser language to suggest switching between the German and English versions where appropriate. If you change the language or dismiss the suggestion, your browser stores that choice locally on your device.
Only the keys siteLanguage, languageSuggestion:de, and languageSuggestion:en are used in localStorage. They contain only the selected language or the fact that the suggestion was dismissed. This information is not transmitted to me or to third parties and remains on your device until you delete it through your browser's website-data settings.
The storage is based on § 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), insofar as it is necessary for the language function you requested. Where personal data is processed, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is providing a consistent language setting.
5. Locally hosted content
Fonts, images, and website scripts are loaded directly from this website. Merely visiting a page does not establish connections to third-party font, analytics, or advertising services. This website does not set its own cookies and does not use web analytics.

This website contains links to external websites and services, such as GitHub and WeGlide. You leave this website only when you open one of those links. The respective provider is responsible for any subsequent data processing.

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
